Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Chicago, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Illinois run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

Chicago is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Chicago is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Illinois's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Very disappointing experience. The customer service was poor, the staff rushed me to order even there was no one in the line and didn’t seem to pay attention while preparing the food. The restaurant was filled with smoke, making it uncomfortable to dine inside. It also wasn’t clean, and I saw a cockroach near the water machine. Unfortunately, it ran away too quickly for me to take a picture. Overall, the restaurant felt dirty, and the service was unprofessional. I won’t be returning.

It was a great experience, not only because you can customized your noddle soup, but delicious spices and great flavor.

The food was excellent. I had a build your own bowl and had a delicious vegan meal. The staff were friendly and helpful. There are a few levels of indoor seating, the picture is the top level. Plus, there is an outdoor patio.

I got the Osaka bowl it comes with purple rice, tuna, salmon, shrimp, crab salad, seasoned fish roe, pineapple, edamame, cucumber, white radish, beets, scallions, Thai mango, and spicy mayo.
